Tamica is on a mission to change Corporate America for the better... one leader at a time. She believes that each person has it within themselves to be an excellent leader. Someone who can develop themselves, motivate and inspire the people around them, and transform organizations.

Suzanne McFarlin, PCC, BCC, and owner of Step Up Leaders, is a board-certified coach specializing in executive coaching and leadership development. She received professional certificates for training services through the American Society for Training and Development and is trained in the StrengthsFinder assessment and certified in the Four Lenses assessment.
To succeed at corporate engagements, you need five things: 1) A passion for coaching leaders, 2) coaching education (ICF Level) , 3) competence in delivering effective executive programs, 4) an understanding of corporate contracting and negotiations, and 5) knowledge of the nine core elements that executives need to face in order to elevate their impact.
Our E-Course covers all of these bases.
Absolutely! Your expertise is in the coaching process.
They can be the same. However, a key difference is between sponsored and personal coaching engagements. Sponsored engagements are paid for by a company and typically have additional goals, stipulations, requirements, and direction for the coach.
Therefore, in corporate contracting, the coach must include essential factors such as establishing a growth baseline and tracking ROI.
Personal coaching in the Executive or Leadership realm is when the leader or executive hires the coach directly.
The CEC program educates each student to coach within sponsored engagements.
The E-Course is approved for 25 hours of Core Competency credits and 5 hours of Resource Development. The ICF allows up to 10 hours of Coaching Supervision toward credential renewal. You may apply the Supervision hours in the Certification tracks towards your credential renewal as well. This equates to 3 hours of Supervision for Certification and 6 hours of Supervision for Certification and Internship.
- At the Institute, we are passionate about integration work. We are also passionate about efficacious leadership. This program is a post-graduation culmination of these two passions!
- We noticed that after a coach is trained in the core competencies, they often have to take additional programs and certifications to navigate sponsored engagements effectively or to up-level sponsored engagements. These programs can cost up to $3-6k each. We decided to bring all key educational elements into one single program. This saves the coach massive amounts of time and money while integrating all the needed modalities into one comprehensive framework.
- Additionally, we saw how other leadership coach training programs failed to provide an entry point. Breaking into the world of Executive Coaching and sponsored engagements can be challenging. To support practical application, students have the option to enroll in the Internship track. This option ensures greater confidence, competence, and real-world experience.
Contracts start at $6,000 per six-month engagement. Executive Coaches make between $250-$700/hr.
The internship is not paid. It does count towards your ICF pro-bono hours. Additionally, there is an option to be hired by the company you are providing coaching for upon the completion of your internship. NOTE: Hiring is entirely up to the company, and we can't make a guarantee that an internship will lead to being hired.
